Nestled in the beautiful, iconic Royal Botanic Gardens is a wonderful culinary retreat. Botanic Gardens Restaurant and Kiosk has a unique and open layout over two levels that comfortably allows for café and a la carte dining plus a range of private functions including weddings, engagements, christenings, birthdays etc. Enjoy seasonal, local dishes on the wide verandas with spectacular views across the Royal Botanic Gardens, or grab a delicious snack and a freshly ground coffee downstairs at our café/kiosk area and take in the sites.
The role
We are looking for experienced and reliable Food and Beverage Staff to join our front of house team at Botanic Gardens Restaurant. You will have current and recent experience working in a restaurant/events and have a real passion for food innovation and delivering excellent customer experiences.
To ensure your success in this role you will have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Worked in either a contemporary café, or a la carte restaurants
- Strong food and beverage knowledge
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience with cash handling and POS systems
- Flexible and able to work across a 7 day rotating roster
- Immaculate grooming and pride in presentation
- A working understanding of Food safety Standards
- Current RSA
